We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and seeing the best of Concepcion in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a sensible choice.
- A serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights is also a wise idea.
