We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and enjoying Crested Butte in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, put in your passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between airlines, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes tools, metal cutlery, spray paint and fireworks. Sporting equipment like baseball bats, and objects that could injure passengers, such as swords and guns, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
