We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Dammam before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, official ID, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
