No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. Follow these handy tips that will get your Deba escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any vital medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an airplane are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfortable clothing and remember to take a cardigan as it can get quite cool in the cabin. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also recommended.
- Most travellers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are plenty of ways to minimize your risk. Wear compression socks or tights, drink lots of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
