Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Delhi could be completely painless or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
