If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints for a pain-free start to your holiday in Demanovska Dolina. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to pack a cardigan just in case you get cold. Always opt for flat, well-fitting shoes as your feet may swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and heavy hiking boots in your checked baggage.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
