If you're not prepared, air travel can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a stress-free start to your getaway in Ducos. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
