Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to El Alto could be no sweat at all or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
