Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. Take a peek at these handy travel tips that will get your Ennery escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome flight experience is to be prepared. Start with the essentials: passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic devices or a good read. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, don't forget to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, deodorant and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
