Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Feldkirch could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a smart choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
