We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a ball in French Harbour in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing flight experience is to be prepared. Start with the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic devices or a thrilling novel. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
