We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Fuling in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by layering up, and opt for flat, closed-toe footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
