We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Gabrovo in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by donning layers, and pick slightly roomy, flat shoes like sneakers.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
