We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a ball in Galliot Cay in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
