Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Gniew escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are good options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
