Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Gurye holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help minimize this risk.
