We’ve pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be speeding through airport security and having a ball in Hamburg before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right things. First of all you’ll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your main priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes work well.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks is also recommended.
