We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you’ll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Hangzhou in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you take the right gear. Firstly, you’ll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your priority when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are quite common. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a smart option.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help reduce this risk.
