We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and seeing the best of Kafue National Park in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your feet and legs moving.
