Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Karystos could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some useful travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your prime concern when choosing what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
