No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will get your Kazuma Forest Reserve holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
