We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and exploring Kuching before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and go for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
