We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and enjoying Kushimoto in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, fuel and fireworks. Sporting equipment like golf clubs, and items that could harm other people, such as swords and batons, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
