We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and enjoying La Cana in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
