Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. Take a peek at these handy travel tips that will get your Lachung holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight is as simple as your choice of clothing. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like sandals and heels are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favourites, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will appreciate it.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help lower your risk.
