We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and enjoying Laguindingan in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
