Depending on where you’re coming from, your journey to Levanto could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We’ve compiled some handy travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, you’ll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are some wonderful options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, knives, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could harm passengers, such as swords and guns, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Don layers of natural fibers and don’t forget to pack a cardigan in case it gets chilly in the cabin. Go for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and hiking boots in your main luggage.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks is also a wise idea.
