If you're not prepared, travelling can be tough. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a pleasant start to your holiday in Lima. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
