We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and enjoying Lobnitz in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
