We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and seeing the best of Lurín before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
