Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will get your Luz holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, official ID, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favourite shows are some great options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for flat, slightly roomy shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
