We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and exploring Magog in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between air carriers, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and flares. Sports equipment like baseball bats, and items that could harm other people, such as swords and guns, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
