Wherever you’re coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you’re well prepared. Follow these handy travel tips that will get your Marechal Deodoro holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you’ll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a cardigan as it tends to get cool inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also recommended.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights can also help.
