We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of Merizo in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
