We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and exploring Milas in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you take the right gear. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
