We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and exploring Milos in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
