Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Mina Clavero could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
