Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Minamikyushu could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. Here are some useful tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your bag for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
