No matter where you’re coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you’ve prepared well. We’ve made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Moab escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome flight experience is to pack in advance. So, let’s start with the basics: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and vital medications. Next, bring items that’ll help keep you entertained, like your laptop or a magazine. You’ll also want to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are your best bet.
- It’s likely you’ve heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. There are plenty of ways to lessen your risk. Wear compression tights or socks, drink lots of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a few laps of the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
