No matter where you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Mong Hsat holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are good options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
