Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Mongomo holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, important documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good idea.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a serious condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. But the great news is there are numerous ways to lower your risk of developing it. Drink plenty of water, walk around the cabin whenever possible and wear compression tights or socks.
