Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Murillo escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, fuel and fireworks. Sports equipment like bows and arrows, and items that could harm other people, such as firearms and ammunition, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
