Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you’ve planned ahead. We’ve put together a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Naha escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a stress-free flight experience is to be prepared. Start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and important medications. Next, bring on board items that’ll help keep you occupied, like some electronic devices or a magazine. It’s also a wise idea to bring your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Last but not least, don’t forget to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a sensible choice.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights is also a wise idea.
