We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through the airport and having a ball in Nosy Be before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, find room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an aircraft are no fashion runway. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
