Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Ortahisar could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfy clothing and remember to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this developing. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
