If you're not prepared, travelling can be daunting. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips for a pain-free start to your time in Oura. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by donning layers, and pick flat, closed-toe shoes like slip-ons.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
