Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will get your Pajara escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
