Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Pak Chong could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy hints that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you carry the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like knives, scissors, aerosol cans and flares. Sporting equipment like baseball bats, and items that could harm other people, such as swords and batons, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
