Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. Follow these handy tips and tricks that will get your Palolem holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
