If you’re poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there’s no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Phan Thiet. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you’ll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pack a sweater as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during longer flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
